Planetokio 2 is an role play action adventure video game developed by Outside Directors Company and published by Northwood Interactive, Asmik Ace Entertainment in Japan. It is sequel to Planetokio, and was released for PlayStation on July 27, 2001, in Japan, September 25, 2001, in North America, and October 6, 2001, in Europe. Planetokio 2 take place after events of 1 game, and follow Iken meet his long lost mother Trixie and friends must defeat new mutant aliens from outer space.
Levels[]
There are 7 different levels in Planetokio 2, with each level taking place on different island. Game begins in Nerima Shouten Iken home island, where Rai, Rai Ken is located.
Trivia[]
- Collect Alien in Planetokio 2 beta footage and concept cover were Lost Souls from Tong Nou brain, like Hyo and Retsu. Actual released game has entirely new and creepier Collect Aliens.
- In this sequel, Naomi gets turn into cantaloupe by mystery mutant Collect Alien near end of game.
- In this sequel, Stamp Robot head is miss and he panics to find it in Level 2, where you must fight gorilla to get it back.
- Educational Edition Of This Game, a bilingual Japanese English version of Planetokio 1 and 2 in 1 were released on December 21, 2004, by HAL Laboratory and Shogakukan.
- That edition was mainly distributed to Toys R Us stores near Christmas, and were also sold in New York City during Easter, when Asmik Ace and Takara Tomy made giant Asmik Eggs filled with children video games and consoles.
- Half of profits from Planetokio 2, as well other partner games at that same time, were donated to Gingo Studios, so Gabriel could use his earn funds towards Computeropolis Deep Web.
