Josh James Brolin (/ˈbroʊlɪn/; born February 12, 1968) is an American actor. His first role was in the 1985

film The Goonies. Since then he has appeared in a wide range of movies and is known for his work as Llewelyn Moss in No Country for Old Men, George W. Bush in W. and Dan White in Milk, the last of which earned him Academy Award and SAG Award nominations for Best Supporting Actor.

Brolin stars as the villain Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe through motion capture and voice acting. His first appearance as Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was in Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), then in a mid-credits cameo at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), and later became the leading antagonist in Avengers: Infinity War (2018), where his performance was critically acclaimed, and reprised the role in Avengers: Endgame (2019). In April 2017, Brolin was cast as Cable as a part of a four-film contract in the X-Men film series, first appearing in 2018's Deadpool 2. He has also voice-acted in the critically acclaimed SPA/Gingo film Addie (2019) voicing Mr. Mysterious.
